This Blog

This blog is a place for me to make my observations about the world around me. Quite often, these will be ranting comments giving out about people and the things they do. This is because a lot of things annoy me. But I do love a bit of banter, so if you think I’m just wrong or have something interesting to add, please do.

Sometimes, however, I will comment just to make random musings about things that interest or delight me. There are those things you see and notice everyday that you think, oh, i must tell someone about this or I must remember how cool that was….and you never do.  Well, I figure that by keeping a blog and adding to it whenever I have some spare time, I can make up for all the random thoughts I have so far not released into the world.

As for the name of my Blog, it’s based on the title of one of my favourite musicals,  West Side Story. It won the Oscar for best picture in 1961 and tells the tale of two star-crossed lovers from rival street gangs in New York. The ‘Lee’ part is the River Lee which is the river which flows through my hometown, Cork City. While not as exciting as the turbulent as the lives of NYC Street gangs, this blog is the story of the goings on of my life in my own little section of the world.
