About Me

I am Emer. I’m a small to fair sized girl of Irish origin but London situation.

I like to bake, procrastinate, win, whine, laugh at things and dress up and go dancing.

I love music, and have fun finding new stuff to listen to all the time. Everything from electro pop to rock to classical to folk. Love it as long as I love it.

I also like to read, but not as much as you would think. I read slowly and rarely find time to do it for fun, and thus resent the stuff I have to read all the more. Oh, by the way, that is history. I am doing a masters in international history at the LSE.

My favourite flowers are tulips, if you ever decide you want to brighten up my day.

I am fond of tea also. Worth noting.

I care about politics and the world around me, but much more about the ins and outs of my own life and lives of those around me, so you’ll find a nice mish mash of that here.

Enjoy the blog,

  1. Sydney-based Australian dance music group consisting of Black Angus (Angus McDonald), chief songwriter and producer, MC Double D (Daimon Downey), Connie Mitchell (vocals), Peter Dolso (guitar), Jono Sloan (bass), and Felix Bloxsom (drums) are spotlighted on Chunnel with their song “I Love It.”

The song was their first charting single, as it peaked at #24 on the ARIA Singles Chart on January 7, 2007. “I Love It” also scored Sneaky Sound System their first two ARIA nominations for “Best Dance Release” and “Breakthrough Artist – Single”. On December 4, 2007, “I Love It” spent its 70th week in the Top 100 Singles Chart, which broke the record of the most number of weeks in the ARIA Top 100 for a single; the record was previously held by The Living End’s Second Solution / Prisoner of Society, which spent 69 weeks in the ARIA Top 100.
